MIDWEST BOOK REVIEW
So for a couple of weeks in May I had a very large head. The state gala was black tie. Charlie, Pete and my dad rented tuxes. The girls and I wore lovely, long dresses, or lovely, very short dresses. We were very glamorous. Think Oscars, think prom for grown-ups. See picture. In a few days, we all turned back into pumpkins, but it was fun while it lasted.
The Whitney Awards are sponsored by the association of LDS writers, but bookstore managers, authors, prominent bloggers, and publishers all have a vote. The Whitney Awards was also a fun evening and an opportunity to put faces with prominent names in Mormon fiction.
